Atheism

What do Atheists believe?

Atheism believes in the non-existence of God or any divine entity. A doubt that permeates humanity for many years. A controversy still persists today, when a religious group accuses another of being an atheist for not believing in their beliefs. It was like this with the Romans, in the Christian doctrine of executioners and with those considered heretics.

There is still no scientific way to prove the existence of God, so the only evidence considered by spiritualists to oppose scientists is faith.

Historical data prove that some peoples never believed in any God, for example, the Eskimos.

Science and Atheism

Many who are dedicated to science make up the group of atheists, due to the fact that they believe that nothing can be proven to exist without scientific support, in addition to believing that they can create as well as any divine entity.

Difference Between Agnostic and Skeptical Atheists

Even among materialists there are distinctions. There are agnostic atheists (weak), who seek proof of divine reality, to question the existence of God. Skeptical (strong) atheists do not believe in the existence of God and, for various reasons, rebel against the idea of an invisible superior being, not proven by Science and still, do not consider the divine nature of life.

Science had greater development during the Renaissance, where rationalism was in force. During the Industrial Revolution it gains strength, taking into account other changes in politics, economics and humanity. During this period he confirms his mark in philosophical and socio-political movements. In terms of numbers, it has more and more supporters, second only to Christians.
