Krav Maga – Self Defense

Krav Maga, “close/contact combat”. It is the only fight recognized worldwide as an art of self-defense and not as a martial art.

Its technique aims at self-defense in situations of real danger and therefore there are no rules or competitions. With simple, quick and objective responses to everyday violent situations, it shows any ordinary person how to defend themselves, regardless of physical fitness, age or gender.

Its origin is military and its application is found in security forces in corporations around the world, due to its efficiency in combat.

  1. The technique basically aims to prevent the attack from reaching the target and also simplifies and increases the strength of counterattack movements. Mathematically rationalizes attack and defense movements, using weight transfer and explosive force; enhancing action regardless of physical strength.

The movement of the blow is based on a contained spring that is released: the speed does not increase during the course, it already comes out at maximum speed. It's called explosive force. The blows aim to hit sensitive points on the body, which equalizes any opponent, regardless of their physical strength.

The technique also works on self-control, which is essential in an aggressive situation, which is why in the training sessions, control of the six senses is learned (sharpening of the five senses and development of the sixth - the ability to sense movements before they are made).

  1. All movements are based on the body's motor skills, which facilitates the activation of a reaction in situations of danger and surprise. They are short and quick.

  2. The grading system is based on belt colors and each one contains different exercises with levels of difficulty.

  3. In training for the security sector, they do not follow this system, following specific modules for each type of work.
